Empowerment of young people from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities

During the four months of the project “Empowerment of young people from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities”, a total of four lectures, trainings/workshops were conducted.

In the first lecture, held on November 2, 2021, the young participants were informed inter alia about the importance of participation in decision-making processes, the quotas reserved for continuing higher studies at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” and the benefits of volunteer work.

In the second lecture, held on 8 November 2021, the young participants received information necessary for writing a CV, writing a motivational letter, and preparing for a job interview. They also had the opportunity to practice the gathered information through simulations of job interviews, to which they will be subjected in the future.

In the third lecture, held on 16 November 2021, the young participants received information about the importance of writing as a means of achieving goals, types of writings, differences between academic and creative writing, types of requests for access to public documents, etc. Finally, through teamwork, participants had the opportunity to practice their knowledge.

In the fourth lecture, held on 21 December 2021, participants learned about the importance of diversity and multiculturalism.

In addition, an awareness video titled “The importance of coexistence, volunteer work and diversity in school”, a visual campaign raising the awareness among the public about the importance of inclusion in schooling, diversity and coexistence, as well as an information booklet in three languages: AlbanianEnglish and Roma, titled “Empowering young people from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities” have been produced.
